8th Annual St. Symeon Food & Culture Fair

St. Symeon Orthodox Church invites the community to its 8th Annual St. Symeon Food & Culture Fair, where they can enjoy shopping for baked goods and gifts in the multi-ethnic outdoor marketplace, have lunch, tour the church, hear the choir, learn about church art and architecture, and more!

The last major installation of sacred art inside the church was completed this spring, and the entire church interior is now completely covered in iconographic murals. Guests can tour the church throughout the event. Also, there will be three programs inside the church: the highly anticipated annual choir concert; a talk about iconography; and a talk about church architecture.

The outdoor tent marketplace features six ethnic booths: the Middle Eastern Market; the Balkan Bakery; Babushka’s Kitchen; Southern Sweets & Savories; Cafe Europa; and Moana Munchies. The booths will have baked goods and other food items as well as art and gift items. Guests will not want to miss the Opa! Kabana loukoumades tent, where church members will be serving up made-to-order Greek honey puffs (a/k/a Hot Greek Donuts).

As always, homemade pierogi will be available hot in the lunch line, as will the German-style sausage and kraut sandwiches. Frozen homemade pierogi are also available by the dozen. The bookstore and gift shop will be open inside the church’s fellowship hall as well. All are invited to visit St. Symeon for this fun event!
