Spring Block Party

Every year, the Firehouse hosts two Block Party events to showcase student talent, drawing crowds of 250-300 people for each event. This year, we’re excited to partner with Avondale Brewery to host the event.

The stage is set for our Spring 2025 Block Party happening on Friday, May 9, 2025 at The Upstairs at Avondale Brewing! Doors at 5:00PM. KRU will kick things off at 5:30PM with student performances starting right after.

Proceeds from this event directly benefit the Firehouse Community Arts Center, a creative learning space located in Avondale neighborhood of Birmingham. The Firehouse offers a wide variety of music programs, with scholarship opportunities available to underserved youth. Last year, the Firehouse provided over 3,585 program hours to 176 Birmingham youth, ages 6-18.
